climate change comics

This is from a series of educational comics I made to help young people understand climate change and what they can do about it.

For the longest time, I've rendered every tiny detail in my drawings and paintings. Sometimes, it's these details that make something special and also make them look like my art. But sometimes the details and obsessive fabric wrinkles come at the expense of nice shapes that show movement.



And frankly, thinking about working on a comic book while still paying respect to every tiny line makes my head spin. I'm making an effort to practice simplifying things as much as I can. I think it's also an issue of materials. Good paper, good pens and ink will make this much easier. To the art supply store tomorrow.
