If this is a confusing image for you, try googling "grey squirrel persecution UK". I fully understand the idea that squirrels can be pests, but what bothers me is that all the language used to direct vitriol at 'North American' grey squirrels is just coded xenophobia. Native vs. Invader, that old chestnut (or maybe acorn in this case).

I might print this bigger and hand it over to Pivo to paste up around London parks.

It's been a long time but hopefully worth the wait. Introducing Pivo the street artist and her project to help the people of London rediscover the lost art of empathy. There's something really exciting about making one off work and handing it over to the world. These photographs will be the only evidence that this painting ever existed in a few weeks.
